Query DataEntities directly with SQL-Server Management Studio

Hi to all,

AgilePoint NX v7 Data Entities - not v8+ with custom views - . I need to build advance search filter capabilities for Data Entities. With SQL-Server Source i can use conditionals, case when, subqueries, add-ons and all the power that the Transact-SQL language provides. Is it possible to query the data directly from SQL-Server Management Studio?

My proposed solution involves building a complex SQL query instead of using the graphical filtering tool for Data Entities.

I have tried to connect as administrator to the instance where AgilePoint is installed, I can see the AP_Data_Entities_DB catalog but I don't see any table.

  Hello Jordi,

  AP_Data_Entities_DB should not be empty. Since you already made sure you have all permissions and Data Entities are available in the UI, we suspect that Data Entities are configured to be on different Database.

  You can identify the Database configured in netflow.cfg file. https://documentation.agilepoint.com/00/startup/cloudglossaryNetflowCfg.html 

  Look for <dataentity vendor="MSSQLDatabase" connectingString="" /> connection string property should help you to clarify.
