Load Balancing and Task Participant emails

I'm using a Load Balancing task to assign a task to a member of a group, but I can't figure out how to send an "Initiation" email to just the assigned user and not the entire group.

I'm using TaskPartcipantUsername in the To: field, but that goes to the entire group, even though the task is correctly assigned to just one person.

  To send the initiation email only to the assigned user(s), we must uncheck the 'Allow Task to be Released Back to Pool' option while configuring load balancing task.
