How to intergate agilepoint with asp.net core

Our company has used asp.net to develop a web application. We would like to enhance our application so that workflow can be added to our application. Thus, we would like to continue using our application but only update the status on the process model of agilepoint. What is the easiest way to do so? Is it okay by calling rest API?  How to create API in AgilePoint? Can we have a detailed code example to do so?

  The AgilePoint UI is completely based on api calls. I.e. you can start processes via the API and also display the status in your application and even much more.
