How to Use Active Directory "Retrieve Group Member" Activity?
Has anyone used the Active Directory activity "Retrieve Group Members"? I am looking for a way to get back a list of all the members of an Active Directory group and I thought that this activity would do exactly that. However, when I went to configure the activity, one of the requirements is that you must provide a list of the members you want to retrieve:

If I knew the names of the users I was trying to retrieve, I wouldn't need to do this activity! Is there any way to specify a wildcard character or something similar to tell the activity that I want it to return all the users in the group?

Hi Loren,
I can definitely understand your position here, based on what the activity does, it is not named very well. I have raised this to our product team to change it, and it should get pushed out with our next hotfix.
That said, since it sounds like you are using ADSync with AgilePoint, there is an activity in the AgilePoint stencil called 'Retrieve Group Members Name' that should work for you.
Here is the link to the documentation - link.
Let me know how this works for you.

Interesting that your documentation link only works for me here in the Community. If I click this link from the email that I received telling me there was a reply to my post, it does not work.
But regardless of that, is this a new Activity in AgilePoint? I do not have this activity available in my stencil:

My bad! I didn't realize that Lucas was referring to an AgilePoint activity.
However, this is still not what I am looking for. I was looking for an activity that would bring back members of an AD group, not members of an AgilePoint group. Since we do use the ADSync module, I realize that I could create an AgilePoint User Group that has the same name as the AD Group I am interested in. Then when the sync occurs, the AgilePoint group would have all the members in it that the AD Group has. Problem is, I don't really need or want to create the group in AgilePoint, I was just looking for a way to get a list of the AD Group members. Also if I created the group in AgilePoint and it was populated by the ADSync, then I wouldn't need an activity to get the list of members. I could just query the group data directly.
At this point, I think I am going to pursue a solution using a PowerShell script that will pull the members of the AD Group and write them to a delimited file.
