How to save Comments control history in DB?

My application uses Comments control to maintain history. The use case is to create request and manage them. The request data is maintained in custom SQL DB. For request management, we have created a form based application. 

My understanding is Comments control maintains the history till the workflow instance is active. Our requirement is if a user wants to open a historical request from form based application, they should see the comments history in same way as in request/approval forms.

I am thinking to use the AuditComment object attributes and save the data in a custom table. But is there any better approach for this?

  The comments control is a repeating element in your process schema.  You should be able to use a "Batch Insert" activity to pull the comments out and save them in a database table.

  Hi Madhur,

  Comments history will be saved in Data Source if that is mapped with any of the table field and since it’s a Form Based App, it will be alive always. Could you please elaborate the requirement little more so that we can find the better solution.
