Support for older MySQL versions?

We are using AgilePoint, on premise, newest version I think (Release Date: 2020-02-18 AgilePoint NX v7.0 SU2.5) and I cannot create an access token to our MySQL server. The port has been checked and I have a valid account / password. The MySQL in question is version 5.5. MySQL Workbench complains but it does connect.

The AgilePoint documentation mentions support for MySQL, but I cannot find a mention of version number.

I have a theory but no answers. Suggestions? I do not want to manually import 2000+ records.

  You can refer to below release notes where it has been mentioned supported version of My SQL is 8.0

  In addition you can refer to below MySQL .net connector supported version documentation:

  https://dev.mysql.com/doc/connector-net/en/connector-net-versions.html

  Though we say official supported version of MySQL is 8.0, it must work with MySQL connector version 6.10 and above. However It is recommended to upgrade MySQL Server to 8.0 version.
