Convert Text Date from SQL to Date field in eForm

I'm reading a SQL database (into an eForm) where I originally wrote the records from an AgilePoint application. My dates were converted (using the date conversion activity) before the record was written. They are in the format MM/DD/YYYY.

Now, I need to read those dates from SQL into another date control on a different eForm. I have the other fields coming back fine (so my autolookup is fine), but my dates are empty. I have tried turning on/off the "Store Date as Plain Text, and not ISO format" and that isn't helping any. 

In the past, I simply wrote the dates from SQL back into text boxes, because they were disabled (read only). In this scenario, I need the date controls because the user needs the ability to edit the dates.

Thoughts?

We only recently upgraded to NX7 SU2.5, so I'm not too familiar with the differences between it and 6 yet (although I never attempted this in 6 either).

  did you try to change the date format in the control?

  The date format in the control is MM/DD/YYYY (same as my text in SQL). Any other ideas?

  I tried checking "Allow Manual Entry", but that didn't help.

  I figured it out. The date (text field) in SQL needs to be stored as YYYY-MM-DD. Then the date control reads it and displays the date as needed.
