Start a process with a SharePoint create list item

Hello,

I'm trying to create a SharePoint list item at the beginning of my process.  I want to then take the SharePoint list item ID and tie it to my file attachment in my first form.

Can I create a SharePoint list item before my Start Task?

  I figured out how to do this using an alternative approach.  I uploaded a file to a SharePoint library, then used the SharePoint "Update Metadata" keyed to the attachment ID.  Works!

  I would still like to know if this is possible using a list instead of a library.  I'm wanting to put multiple files into one list entry rather than multiple entries in a library.

  Ron helped me figure this out.  Need to first upload to a document library, then create a list item, then use document transfer to move the attachments from the library to the list.

  Did you do this inside a loop? I'm trying to set up a document transfer inside the loop for my create SP list item and am struggling. Thanks!

  No - I didn't do it inside a loop, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.  Where/why is it failing?

  It was the SharePoint ID. I got it figured out though! I just had to map a process field variable I created in the Create List Item function on the process map. Thanks!
