Error Importing Application

I exported an application of mine and sent it to a co-worker.  When she tries to import, she gets an error:

I'm not sure what access she needs to have on an import.  she has developer privileges in our environment and thus has explicit privs to import apps:

Is there something else she needs?

  The Role in Manage Center specifies the over all access to which a user can have. So your co-worker can create new applications and import applications but not override another users application.

  The error shown on import is due to the application level access permission, in which your co-worker's name is not added as designer of the application.

  Thank you, Harish.  I assumed that when the user imported, they would become owner/designer...

  Automatic addition of any user to owner/designer would cause someone from your company but not from your team by mistake import another app with same name and override your app leading to business impact.

  so are you saying that when i export an app and send it to someone to import that they are then sharing the app with me?  And any change they make to "their" copy is reflected in my application that I see in my Build Apps tab?  I assumed that when I gave them an export and they imported it, it became their own, separate from mine, but it sounds like that isn't the case?

  Application names are unique for an environment. So if your co-worker tried to import in same environment as exported then Import is considered as overwriting existing application.

  For single environment, it's better to clone the application to different name and then share so that they have their own copy of application to use.
