How do you assign a start task to an Active Directory group?
How do you use a Active Directory group instead of a AgilePoint group as the task participants for an eForm start task activity?
The Retrieve Group Members activity under Active Directory on the process model does not appear to actually grab all the users either (we considered using this to add to a dynamic task pool). It is a bit of a strange activity there that only grabs a specific user out of that group from what I can tell. And you can only see AgilePoint users, roles, groups under the actual task assignment section itself.
It does not make sense (nor is it efficient) for our organization to keep re-creating all our AD groups inside the AgilePoint user security area. Also with almost all Microsoft customers using AD FS to handle their users I am a bit surprised this is not baked directly into the AgilePoint NX product.

I know that AgilePoint allows you to set up an automatic sync between your AD and its user groups around midnight of each day, so instead of configuring the process to pull from AD, you may want to try syncing your AD to AgilePoint. I don't have authorization for my company's AD so I can't test it out, but that's popped up as a solution a few times for a few things I was working on.

Hi Michael,
AgilePoint can sync users from Active Directory to AgilePoint. Users are synchronized periodically based on your configuration in the AgilePoint server, and synchronizes AD groups that are defined in the AgilePoint system. Once AgilePoint and Active Directory have the same names, users are synced automatically.
Please see the following links in our documentation:
Info on Syncing AD and AgilePoint
