Managing sprints in SDLC cycle

We are building a workflow to manage development life cycle of a project. There is a requirement to also manage multiple sprints of the projects or any enhancement to a project which has completed its development cycle. 

There is one way I think is to keep the task open post prod deployment (for 30 days) to create a child subprocess in case of enhancement/fixes. But would like to discuss what should be the best practice. Keep a task open for 30 days does not sound like a good tactic.

  Would it be possible to brief a little more about your requirement. 

  From your description, we understood that you are looking for a way to keep the process initiated alive and running for 30 days post completion of task. So that you can rework the same process design in case of business criteria needs to be so.
