Start a new process instance from another app

Hi Everybody,

Here is the situation:

• Process A (App A) ends by starting Process B (App B)
• Process B (App B) can be started by Process A or directly by a Participant
• The trigger to Process B (App B) is a form.

So can Process A (App A) start the Process B (App B) by filling automatically the form while it can be started by a human. If yes, how would we configure this?

  Hi Ali,

  Do i understand right, that you want, that the starting form of the app B should be partially filled in and the task should be assigned to someone, who will complete the form and continue the process?

  Hi Ali, 

  There is an activity called SubProcess activity, that have the capability to initiate another process with in same application or from other application (Refer the SubProcess screen of the activity configuration)

  Also this activity have the option to share the data from a process to another process, in your case Process A to Process B (Refer Mapping attributes of the activity configuration)

  Note: in the subprocess activity property, you need to set the "Wait for Complete" value as false, in order to make the first process (Process A) complete.
