Static Due Dates

I have a form where the user assigns tasks and static due dates (from a calendar control). For those tasks that are created is there anyway to get those static due dates to be the "overdue" task date? All I see on the Task is for "Time to Complete" is X # of days/weeks/etc.  

I would also need to build it into the reminder emails. 

I'm using NX 6.0. Any ideas?

  Hi Gwen,
  Is it not possible in your version of AgilePoint to use variables in the due date field of the task? It is possible now to use variables...

  Not unless I'm not looking in the right spot or doing something wrong. Here's where I am... in the process with the configure activity open for the task form.

  

  It says to drag and drop variables, but when I try, I get "Variable is not an integer" (I'm dropping a date). So it seems like it's wanting a whole number, which makes sense with the Day/week/etc option beside it. 

  I guess i could do some math and figure up how many days difference there are between the assigned date and due date (just thought of that LOL). You think that is my only option?

  Yes, this is the option. You have by the way calculate date difference activity that will help on that.
