Entering Blank Values in a Mandatory Text Box

Wondering if anyone else has run into this before?  I have a Text Box field on an eForm that is marked as mandatory.  I have discovered that a user can simply type a space into the field and it will pass validation.  But then if this same Text Box is marked as mandatory on another form in the process, the second form will fail validation saying that something needs to be entered into the field.

I do believe that AgilePoint will trim field values when the form is submitted so I think the first form is allowing the space character to satisfy the mandatory field requirement but then the field is trimmed after submit making it empty again.

Has anyone else run into this?  If so, how did you get around it?  If a field is mandatory, then I would think that it should require a non-blank character to be entered into it.  I shouldn't have to create "On Submit" rules to see if a mandatory field is populated with data or not.

  Loren,

  Yes, just a blank character is not considered as a valid data and it gets treated as empty. However I think I can submit the form validation on mandatory for re-review to see if empty space can be validated.
