Default value of date field is not shown

Hi, I have a problem on showing the default value of a date field.

 

When I preview the form, the default value can be shown successfully.

 

However, when I start the application, the default value is not shown.

  Justin, we are not observing this behavior. Do you have custom JavaScript or rules configured to clear this field or any other which would affect the default behavior?
