eForm Look-up Field not displaying on task

I have a form that I have created with a couple look up fields. I use the same form for the task that get assigned in the workflow, however the look up fields don't display the option that was selected on the original submission. Instead is displays as "There are no items available". How do I have the field display what was originally selected.

  Not sure I understand but the Default Value doesn't work??

  I created a form for the start task at the beginning of the workflow. That form has lookup fields in it. I then took the same form that was used on the start task to create a form for a standard task. I published the workflow and submitted the form with the look up fields filled out however after I submit the form and receive the next task, when I open the task the fields that were selected via the look up do not display what was filled out when the form was submitted. I just get a "there are no items available".

  Do you have the lookup populated by a rule or by another field selection?  If so, then the lookup never fires on the second form because the event isn't triggered.  Try having the lookup also fire on form load, or change the logic around to accomplish the same thing, and see if that fixes it.
