Check for Duplicate Values in a Sub-Form ?

I am wondering if there is a way to check for duplicate values in a Sub-Form that would prevent users from submitting the main form?

For example, I haves a simple sub-form with one drop-down field that contains employee names.  When the user is selecting the names in the sub-form, I don't want to let them pick the same name twice as shown here:

Is there any way through rules, either on the sub-form field itself or using a "before submit" rule, to display an error to the user letting them know that they have selected a duplicate value in the sub-form?

  Hi Loren,

  Unfortunately, we don't have any OOTB feature to check and stop the user in case of any duplicate values entered for a field in a repeatable subform. However, we can achieve this using JavaScript.
