Multiple task approvers - best practice
We have a task that is assigned to a group of 5 people. To move forward in the process, all 5 must approve. However, if any one of them does not approve, but rejects, the process should go back to the previous step of the process. Once one of the group rejects, we would like the process to immediately go the previous step in the process, and cancel any outstanding approvals. Since a standard task needs all to complete to move the process either forward or back, should another type of task be used for this? Advanced or parallel? Or another way around all 5 completing?

It sounds like you might want to use an Advanced task for this. As part of the Advanced Task configuration there is a place where you can specify the percentage of users who need to approve the task in order for it to be fully approved. In your case, this would be set to 100%. The only thing I don't know for sure is if the Advanced Task would end immediately as soon as one person rejects it? Or if the task would wait until the task duration has expired before checking the voting percentage.
