A process branch is a group of activities that are connected in a hierarchical relationship within a process. One process branch can have more than one subordinate branches. However, the activities in a sub-branch are only considered predecessors if the sub-branch reconnects to the main branch.
This process has two process branches. The top branch has a subordinate branch with the Timer activity.
